StreamClan is a group of cats that live on the south shore of the lake, inhabiting both the forest and nearby field. The group was founded by Streamstar.

Streamstar

Streamstar was the founder and first leader of StreamClan. Streamstar's deputy was Rock Ear, and Streamstar's medicine cat was Pebble Foot. Streamstar's righteousness lead Streamstar to have a soft heart, and Streamstar often welcomed kittypets and loners into StreamClan without a fuss. Other leaders, namely Breezestar, often chided Streamstar for Streamstar's tendency to allow queens with kits into StreamClan and accused the young leader of trying to boost StreamClan's ranks to possibly take over the other two Clans. Streamstar denied this, saying Streamstar was only following the Warrior Code and what Streamstar's heart said was right.

A string of missing prey caused StreamClan to accuse BreezeClan of stealing their prey. Relations between BreezeClan and StreamClan continued to worsen. When StreamClan runs low on herbs, Streamstar asks LeafClan to assist. Leafstar agrees and shares LeafClan's herbs with StreamClan.

The deaths of Dark Dapple and Sap Cloud were the final straw for Streamstar, who declared war on BreezeClan on Moon 30. Streamstar attempts to resolve things with the new leader of BreezeClan, Ravenstar, but despite things seemingly going smoothly, the war continues.Worn from injuries, both sides begin to discuss talks of peace as leaf-fall turns to leaf-bare. During the first Gathering of leaf-bare, snow began to fall despite a clear sky, and the Clans took this as a sign that they should finally end the war that's been brutalizing StreamClan and LeafClan for moons.

On Moon 45, a gang of rogues ambushes StreamClan, taking another of Streamstar's lives while also killing Doe Bloom, Squirrel Tuft, Walnut Leaf, Rye Splash, Brown Sky, and Wisteria Fur. Streamstar announces a new rule for the Clan: Challenge all trespassing cats. Do not harm them until they attack first, but each rogue left unchallenged could be another rogue that slips in and takes the life of another StreamClan cat. Some cats are uneasy, knowing Streamstar's usual friendly attitude towards outsiders, but grieving the loss of their Clanmates, they agree.
